Insurance Information

We are Medicare providers and accept assignments for our Medicare patients.

Emergencies

One of our physicians is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have an emergency and are seen in the Emergency Room, the Hospital Emergency Room Physicians are well trained and will be able to perform appropriate initial care. They will make a referral to our office for follow-up if you choose one of the physicians in our practice. If the orthopaedic injury is severe or complicated, we are available and will respond to the Emergency Room Physician's request.

Appointments

At Strand Orthopaedic Consultants office hours are by appointment from 8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays. You may schedule an appointment with the physician of your choice or to expedite matters, you may choose to see one of our certified Physicians Assistants. For your convenience we have three locations: Myrtle Beach, Little River, and Surfside Beach.

When you come for an appointment, please bring all x-rays and records relating to your present condition as well as a list of any medications your are currently taking. While we always attempt to adhere to your scheduled appointments, emergency situations sometimes arise and require that appointments be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please notify us if you decide to cancel your appointment so that we may schedule another patient.

Fees & Payments

We make every effort to decrease the cost of your medical care. Therefore, we request payment arrangements for all office services at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover for your convenience. If we are a participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them. However, payment is the patient's responsibility. We will help in any way we can to assist you in handling claims.

Prescriptions & Renewals

Please request all prescriptions and authorizations for renewals during normal business hours, when our full records are available. Renewals requested at other times will be filled only for extreme or emergent circumstances.
